When you have a league where one team has won roughly 45% of the championships. That team deserves to be put on a pedestal.
The 2012 preview of the Current South Asian Softballers League Champions the Softballers
The pun was intended because to be quite honest this team has been that good. At times they are dominant, other times they just get it done.
Many would argue that they aren't the most talented, they don't even have that many guys who look like they religiously go to the gym. They a team with great chemistry
that has kept their successful core together for years. It has resulted in the greatest degree of success than any other team in any league in history. They have won a higher percentage of championships than the Lakers, Celtics of even the NY Yankees.
When you look at the Softballers. A team that won a championship all the while missing their All Star Shortstop, their All Star Left Fielder, their All Star First Baseman. Who do you really add? The goal of this team that coasted through the regular season and then won their 4th Championship a back to back SASL Championship may we add. All you really need to do is come back with the same team that has gotten you this far. Could they resist the urge to tinker and come back with the championship team?

Leo Cepeda
To this team they have added former Pros stalwart Leo Cepeda in a down year by his standards his .545 for the Pros in 44 at bats. Leo is known for his flashy defense in the out field and his penchant for coming up with clutch base hits. He is a veteran of the SASL and on the Ballers he is going to be asked to just provide his defense and get on base. With very little pressure and players like Ramy hitting in front of him. Leo should flourish.
It is hard to write a preview for a team that ha been as heralded as the Softballers. At this point it's their league and until they are dethroned the rest of us are just bystanders.
