ABOUT US
|
The South Asian Softball League (SASL) is a division
of South Asian Community & Sports, a NY-based
non-profit organization. The SASL was officially
formed in 2005 with the help of many individuals of
different backgrounds who pooled their collective
communities together to form this league. The league
began with four teams and two years later is
encompassing twelve teams with a waiting list of more
teams eager to join.
The league emphasizes character before talent, promoting brotherhood through sports and fulfilling a gap that has existed in the community for years. Our aim is to unite the various cultures and communities that make up the South Asian framework through the power of sports and, in particular, Softball. With an emphasis of quality over quantity, the SASL diligently enforces a strict player code of conduct upon all its members that promotes growth and community building. |
