Week 9 Power Ranking

Description

1

Hit Squad (+1) L1

Hit Squad takes over the top spot after splitting with Mingles this past weekend. Neither game was close but HS walk away with the H2H run differential advantage in case the two teams finish with the same record. Big statement from Ali batting 12 against a stacked Mingles offense. Vets don’t scare easy.

2

Mingles (-1) W1

Wahid and Adeel can hang their hats on the fact that they didn’t have Dylan in this past week’s battle for 1st. The team is still very scary and many still consider them the team to beat. Don’t think Mingles are too worried. Expect them back on top soon.

3

Dad Bods (-) W4

Nothing like a good four game beatdown of NWO to right the ship. Dad Bods seemed to be slowing down but turned it back up. Unfortunately, their Father’s Day matchup against Prince and his High Rollers was canceled but hopefully it doesn’t halt their momentum.

4

OnlyFam (+3) W6

No team is hotter right now than OF. Team has won 6 in  row and confidence seems to be sky high. The Omar/Adrian pickups for this team have paid huge dividends. Big litmus test against Hit Squad this week or as Sami likes to call them “Sh!t Squad”. Let’s see if they can back up the trash talk.

5

Bats (-) L1

Bats continue to be a letdown this season. The post-championship hangover is real. Doesn’t seem to matter who they play, they can’t seem to do better than a split. A top 3 seed seems out of reach at this point but I don’t think Zimmad and team care too much. They’ll be ready come playoffs (hopefully).

6

High Rollers (-2) L2

The kids might say that this High Rollers team is very mid. They dropped Sijo Jacob this past week in favor of the speedy vet Travis. Hopefully, that kickstarts an offense that sorely needed another elite bat. Either way High Rollers are looking up at a lot of stacked teams playing good softball.

7

Curry Up! (+2) W2

A couple of forfeit wins for Rishi and Thomas this week that probably has the duo breathing easy. The offensive woes are still there but maybe Curry Up plays a little looser knowing that there are two teams firmly beneath them in the standings. Next step is avoiding the dreaded SNL game.

8

Sunday Sensations (-) W1

Welcome to the win column Sunday Sensations. It was a rocky start to the season but this team is hopefully getting into gear after finally playing back to back weeks for the first time this season. Doesn’t seem like scoring is much of an issue for these guys but we’ve known that all year. Team can’t hold a lead late though and that is something they will need to work on if they want to move up the standings.

9

NWO (-3) L8

No team has been a bigger disappointment this season than NWO. After a top 3 finish last Spring, it felt like this team was going places but their offseason additions have been a no-show and Captain Ayaz has done himself no favors from a logistical perspective either. No fight versus DBs in their quadruple header, followed up by forfeit Ls to a team they are fighting against for a playoff spot. With just under a month till the postseason, looks like its going to be NWO on the outside looking in.
